Timothy Woerner
Timothy is an Associate at Rosenberg, Eisenberg & Shactman, LLC. with a background in local governmental, civil rights and insurance defense work that informs his focus on personal injury cases for Rosenberg, Eisenberg & Associates, LLC. He has drafted winning motions and briefs submitted in state and federal courts throughout Illinois - with a writing expertise honed through years as a newspaper reporter before beginning his legal career - and believes strongly in the role of counselors to make the legal system more understandable and accessible to individuals with potential claims. He was part of the team for the Bluhm Legal Clinic's Center on Wrongful Convictions of Youth that assisted the Dixmoor Five in seeking clemency and/or post-conviction relief, and has successfully obtained defense judgements on behalf of municipal clients in cases originating in multi-million dollar demands.
A navy brat in his youth and an avid sports fan, he can be found in his free time cheering on a locationally-diverse array of star-crossed franchises (Washington Commanders, San Diego Padres, Northwestern Wildcats) that also serve to remind him to enjoy more time with his wife and two children. His wife's organic farm business in McHenry County, Illinois also inspires an appreciation for the wide variety of food offerings the Chicagoland area has to offer. Timothy is a double alumnus of Northwestern University, having graduated from the Medill School of Journalism in 2006 before returning to obtain his juris doctor from the Northwestern University School of Law in 2013. He is also a frequent volunteer for the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition and a participant in its annual "Together in Teal" Run/Walk events in greater Chicagoland.
